newbe with job offer but need help!

    i am a recent grad with no points and no dwi's or dui's last felony was over 22 years ago. but i have been unemployed for two and a half years. this seems to be a problem i have a job offer from c.r.s.t . i have herd a lot of issues with this company. if i can find something better i would be happy. give me some help drivers who would give me a job ive applied to usx and conway and they had a problem with that two and a half years. please tell me there is another company i can go to than c.r.s.t.!

    Have you tried Swift. They hired my cousin and he hadn't had a job in a very long time. He just gave them some BS about taking care of his mom.

    I'd say it depends a lot on what one would define as small issues.

    That could be quite an issue. I recently spoke with a company that wouldn't consider more than eight months in the last thirty-six. I posted this in another thread and someone came on and said their company had a six month limit.

    I'm not suggesting this is your situation but many figure jail, illegal activity or lack of initiative for long-term unemployment.

    You will have to come up with a great reason for this long unemployed term and will most likely have to have someone else provide a statement to back up your explanation. They will also be real interested in how you managed your cost of living during this period.

    I'm not going to tell you what to say but you may have to get creative to overcome this. A company has no interest in someone they aren't sure is willing to work. Is there any self-employment involved? Can you claim to be a stay at home dad?
