Vinsanity, aint that the truth!
As far as Americans working in Canada, I don't think it's that big of a deal. Canada is in need of workers and are making the process a lot eaiser.

Roehl is starting me in refrigerated as a solo at .32. 3 months, .34 9months, .35
12 months, .38. I know it's not the best, but a lot better than CRST. .22 and have to run team. USA offered .27. Orange Punkin offered 30 but only offered tanker. No thanks.
Tan Tara offered .34 but their max is .37, course you get those extra big bucks for tarpin.
Roehl seems best for this old newbie for a start. A year or two down the road? Who knows.BigJohn54 Thanks this. -
Crete starts at .34 first year for student then second year goes to .41.

.41 while twiddleing your thumbs waiting for a short load doesnt equal anything

I could be wrong but I believe Crete will not train unless you go to their school.
They rejected my app because of that. -
American-Trucker Thanks this.

Does Roehl pay HHG or Practical miles? What about Crete? It seems to me that some of these carriers that pay a couple cents more are actually paying you less because you're getting short miles... Or sometimes they advertise a higher mileage pay, but it's per diem pay... and that's not a benefit because you can get that per diem tax credit when you file anyway?

They don't have a school, but your school has to be on their approved list.
