Im starting driving school july 15 at roadmaster and because im taking class on weekends i had to have my permit before i start. I went today and passed. My advice to whoever goes and gets there permit or at least what i did and worked for me is i went in and took the general knowledge first instead of just all three at the same time. If you were to fail the first one it might mess with your head and you could fail the air breaks or combination test. So what i did was i went in passed the first and then went to the car studied for 30 mins then went in and took the next and passed then went back to the car studied for 30 mins and back in to pass all three. I think using this strategy could help some people out.

Also i probably should put this in another thread somewhere but if any newbies that are prior service military the va will not pay for trucking schools like roadmaster under the new post 9/11 gi bill. If you find a college that offers some type of trucking program then the new post 9/11 gi bill would most likely cover the cost but the program has to be offered from a college. The normal gi bill you know the one you that you paid 100 dollars a month for when you first entered the military will pay for any trucking school. As i was writing this i came across a website that said starting on or after October 1st that you can use the post 9/11 gi bill for apprenticeships non college degree programs and on the job training so if you only have the post 9/11 gi bill i recommend you wait till october is you can, to see if the va will pay for the program.

I would also like to say im totally a newbie and could be wrong but im confident in what i post here so if i am wrong i woud please request that someone post why so i can have the right info.

Thank you for the info on the 9/11 GI Bill and paying for school. The local community college does offer a course, I may look into that route.
