Our favorite stop sign was facing all four corners today. :) Not the traffic.
Yesterday.... a complete idiot pulled his PU truck way out ahead of where you stop left turn. I made sure on my right turn to be all kinds of all over his hood. Then left bumper ends. Finishing with rudely along his left fender. Maybe he got the idea?

It takes all kinds at that intersection.

Usually it's the folks that take at LEAST 10 seconds to decide if they are going to proceed. Gawd help you if you are in a big rig westbound on Highway 3, committed to not stopping on the railroad tracks, while judging whether Sally in her SUV understands you AREN'T STOPPING on the tracks, will let you on by. They seriously need a stop light or a permanent LEO monitoring that intersection.

The plant I’m delivering to, broke down last night. I get to spend the night in no place Arkansas. It’s about 50 miles from Texarkana. Oh how exciting!
It beats a truck stop in Denver.

This is something I thought y’all would like to see. I don’t think this is The answer. There is much wisdom out there. This mentions some.
I’ve actually done this without contemplating it. I’m very happy as a truck driver. It allows me time to think. Which also can be meditation. I don’t listen to the radio.

Your mind stays incredibly focused as a driver.
Hours on end you are focused on your task.
That's why the fatigue at the end of the day.

I haven't listened to the radio while I am driving for several years now. Instead I focus on driving, using "commentary driving" inside my head, to anticipate situations that will arise. I find that even in "intense" traffic I almost enter a Zen state. It's relaxing.

Nowadays on rare occasions I might go "on tilt". I recognize it, shift mental gears, and get back into my A game.

Every day as part of my post trip (after I log off duty) I evaluate my day. Was my decision making perfect? Was my shifting perfect? Was I courteous at all times?

There's always room for improvement. If you aren't focused on improving every single day, then chances are you aren't improving and are treading water.

I like to listen to a good jam or two sometimes.

But don't to much now with the cats.

Mincy will crawl all over the truck trying to find where the voice is coming from lmfao.

She'll finally sit on the dash and start meowing at the passenger side speaker ROFLMFAO.
