Yes any questions feel freee to ask me! I started hauling Vans at Swift Transportation then after about a month or 2 I moved over to Schneider Bulk hauling Tanks & haven't looked back yet! I love Tankers!

I just talked to Megan (5/15/17) in Swift Recruiting (she is at the Utah office) and she says at this time there is a tanker "division" but it is very small. This is fyi and use.

Personally, I wouldn't waste any time on dry van. Tankers pay more and you can easily learn to drive them right out of school. I know, I used to train new drivers. I've driven just about everything and I'm still a tanker yanker and don't plan on changing.

Schneider Bulk will be the easiest to get on with. Others might take you but it won't be a for sure thing. Still, worth a shot.

Ethos, how long is a typical haul? Are tanker drivers local and home every night? Or are they on the road for some nights and do they have a sleeper type of set up? Thanks.

I drive intrastate, hauling asphalt... home every night, and off weekends. I know you asked E; just thought I'd chime in~! :)

One of our trucks is a daycab ... the others are sleepers just because that's what our small fleet is made of; not sure about ^^ tho~! During our season... spring, summer, fall.. I never sleep in them. Running winters, I have on occasion.

That completely depends on the company, type of work being done and even what region you're in. What kind of trailer you pull really has nothing to do with that.

I would just go tanker. I wish I had earlier. Don't let people scare you with surge. Just take turns easy and give yourself room and you'll be alright.
