Hi everyone I'm trying to find someone with a tractor and trailer who would let me use their truck and trailer to take my cdl a test in mount sterling or Georgetown ky. I've got my permit and had a guy gonna let me use his but its fell through.i would need a few pointers and a little seat time to get use to your truck. I've got a job lined out locally but need my license first. Please help. Thanks

Thanks. I do not expect it for free. I'm willing to negotiate on a fair price

use the local companies equipment where you plan to get your job, seems like if they want to hire you they have faith in your driving abilities and would be able to get you a truck and trailer to test out with.

If a local company said they would hire why aren't they willing to help you out with road test?

I would recommend taking a drive around town some weekend to find some local OTR drivers who might be home for some home time and just walking up and knocking on their door and asking them if would help you out or if they knew anyone who would.

there were some of those cdl in a day places who charge a fee to use their truck. these have been mentioned on this forum. I don't have much faith in these peeps unless you are truely experienced or trained and just need the "license part". might have to find a larger city.

You can do it that way but you are going to pay hell trying to get insured if you don't go through an accredited cdl course. Most companies won't hire you because they can't insure you having obtained your license this way. Make sure this is going to pan out before hand. I think this is just going to be a waste of your time and money.

Why don't you go down to Milan and try with Milan Express. They might help you; they even have their own CDL school.
