A good place to start would be to read through all of the Good company along with the Bad company posts to get a decent average of results.. You will probably get a bazillion different answers from different people bout the same companies. The key thing to keep in mind is to figure out what you are looking for in a company and then researching all the different companies to see which ones suit you best. The reason for this is that what might be a good company for one person might be the worst company for another..
Just my .02 worth from what I have figured out when I was searching Hi-Low to figure what company I want to go with (ended up picking swift and start 7/27)..
Good luck on which ever company you end up deciding to go with. -
I agree with Nighthawk. Check out Roehl. I hear they are pretty good for newbies.

I have not even gone to school yet. Was all excited about CR England, then started reading so many bad things about them here and on other sites. However, do your research and good luck. I have been on the net doing a ton of research and have found that Central Refrigerated sounds very good. They have a school, sent in an app today. Hope to hear back from them.
Good luck on what ever company you pick. -
The others did not. Her number is 800 777 9100 - ext 7078.
Just FYImichael605 Thanks this. -
I want to get into trucking, but getting into it is an expensive proposition and companies with supposed training programs seem to say they are hiring and then placing rediculous restrictions or impossible-to-pay loan rates for their students. I personally have little to no experience with trucking, but my grandfather and father were/are both truckers, so it's in the blood. I understand what it's like out there, my dad loved to drive but he didn't like not having a "life" (probably because he was running from CA to PA on a regular basis with limited breaks in between runs). Apparently 20 or 30 years ago it was a matter of getting in a truck and driving. Now it's a stroll through hell just to make a dime. I'm sure there has to be an easier way to get a job smoothly and quickly somewhere without the hassle. Once you get your CDL and training it's just building experience toward your goals, but to get to that point is probably the most difficult part without forking out $5k and being out of a job for 2 months while you're in training...some of us have bills...this trucking thing may have to take the back burner for a while. =(

I was seriously looking at Prime until it was announced that they are now only taking CDL Mill graduates. I'm now looking at Central, several people have gone through their training and seemed to have been well-trained and enjoyed it. Central may be seeing an app from me very soon.

What company are you refering to? Central? Please let me know, and thanks a million for any help. -
