Newbie Job Apps and tickets 25 years ago

If you say no to the question of 'ever', and they find out, it will mean getting fired.
Just be honest and answer the questions as they are written.

Just tell the recruiter it was 25 or 30 years ago and you don't remember the details.

 

Pull your mvr. If it doesn't say it on there, it never happened.

 

Unless the reason your license was suspended was because of something like vehicular homicide after 25 years it no longer matters. 99.9% of the time I agree with @gentleroger but on this I am going to disagree slightly. Remember if you have 25 years of safe driving something that old is ancient and I would give it no thought. I do subscribe to the philosophy of total honesty. It is the best way to navigate the world of trucking these days.

Now understand the economy right now is tight and getting tighter. If you admit this on the app and there are 20 applicants but only 2 jobs most likely honestly will cause you to lose that job. Even though this is true I still think honesty is better. You might have to haul rubberized dog crap out of Omaha for a while, but in the end, you can get past all of this and be 100% honest!

Telling the recruiter is less useful than telling a street sign.

If the question is "has your license EVER been suspended?" Then answer 'yes about 1995, for xxxxxx".

If the exact question is "has your license been suspended in X years?" answer is no.

Unless suspension was for something very serious it shouldn't matter that long ago unless it has only recently been reinstated.

 

Answer the question as asked. If it says EVER, then you disclose it. Nobody will remember exact dates. Just so long as your in the ball park, it won't be a problem.
