I am a fairly new driver lookin to get my time in with a descent starter company. I never went to school to get my CDL i just went an got it on my own. ( Tested at DMV then rented a Truck an TRL an took the road test.) anyway i have had my CDL Class A since Feb 09 an have been driving for a carnival since trying to get some exp. now almost a year an a half later i would like to get on with a real company. Does anyone have any advice on what i can do.

I think as long as the carnival will give you a good reference, you should fill out some applications.

Well; you should fit right in. A lot of these co's you will still think you are at the carnival.....
Will be a tough challenge. Most co's now want 6 months recent OTR or a recent grad from a school.

Another carnival! A lot of these companies experience or not are required by their insurance to hire drivers from accredited schools. This may be to your advantage though in keeping you from going with these mega-companies. I would look into the entertainment industry since you already have experience there. Nascar, CBS Sports, Concert tours, Tradeshows, etc... Good luck.
