yea these local companies Ive had interviews with do hire with no experience. I think the misdemeanor is what killed my chances.. I cant do anything about my past .. all I can do is make sure my future is clear of the law. but hell it was 5 years ago .sucks

5 years ago is not that long really. I know it seems that way to you but honestly, it's not. Many background checks go back 7 years and some 10-15. I'm no expert believe me...I start school in the morning...but I am also in a worse spot than you. There are major carriers that will hire felons...if they hire felons then they may hire you but you may need to sacrifice the regional/ hometime for a year or two.

Why be scared? My grandfather always told me nothing was worth doing if you weren't prepared to do it all and put everything in it

Thats the sacrifice you make. My dad was a trucker from the time I was born...he sacrificed a lot...now I'm too green to call you on not being willing to make the sacrifices everyone else makes...but I'll say that if you are not willing then perhaps this isn't the career you need to consider. There are plenty of delivery jobs you can drive at.

Really,,,you lucky schneider give you a job but others won't now you tryna tell me with a first degree misdemeanor you expect a job to make 800$ after taxes every week, Get that expunged or wait for it to drop otherwise they gonna think you will fight or beat other drivers up at the truck stop. Troublemaker take what you get and worry about better pay when you choose peace, love, patience, kindness that's how you succeed if you think you gonna be aggressive you will end up with aggravated assault, misdemeanor, felony, battery etc

I know of at least 3 companiesthat hire felons. and all you have is a misdemeanor. Some may pay 30 cents amile or 15hr but it would get you in the drivers seat. What city are you looking? Some have daily home or 1-2 days out. I' ll name them now Gardner chino cali, and washington. Carolina Cargo, USA truck, Midwest Express kcks (apparently have hired drivers with rollovers? And maybe even US Xpress (yes they have some regional and dedicated)
