The assault thing is what's really hurting you......trucking is a stressful/demanding job , both physically and especially mentally. Companies know this and they are for the most part a little wary of hiring folks that they know have a history on being unable to control their temper/emotions while under stress. They know it's gonna happen too....either at a shipper that's taking way too long to get a load on the truck...or a reciever that's holding you up.....or a shipping clerk/security guard/receptionist/forklift operator that has an attitude....it's gonna happen. They don't want to take the chance on you loosing it again and having their life's work taken away because of a law-suit......Some places will hire of course , you just have to locate 'em. Be honest about your past , answer all they're questions , and even offer to work in a warehouseman/dock-hand position for a spell in order to prove yourself to them.

My guess is still the biggest hurdle is still experience level and insurance. Assault? What is it specifically? And it was a misdemeanor assault? I cannot see, if you are honest how this could be hurting you. Heck, one of my best buds has something like this... His neighbor across the street called his wife a ######, c@!t , wh04e... He went over there, the neighbor... continued to talk when he should have been listening... and the result was the neighbor had a black eye. And my buddy now has a assault charge. Given the same situation, I'm almost certain I'd have the same.

Keep trying do not give up.... good luck

well it seems the problem Is the two speeding tickets I received last year is the culprit to my problems

That will do it.

that's your choice . I will never do that -
Yup, speeding tickets... Will be a problem, and a big one... even if you got them in your own car before you got a CDL. This is what is holding you back. Well at least you know now. One thing you may be able to try is asking your state if there are any driver courses you can take, that will allow them to be removed from your record. Some states do it, some don't good luck.
