Newbie looking for OTR company

Hi everyone,
This is my first post and Im sure you have heard this question a million times over- Whats a good OTR company to start with?
Im looking for good pay, benefits and a company that wont srcew me. It seems that Swift, JB Hunt and Werner are all on the "Bad rep" with many people so why does the school Im in keep advising us to go with Werner? Do these companies pay schools kickbacks for sending them new meat for the slaghter? If so then thats pretty shameful...

Any advise??

 

I guess ill just do short haul if the "real view" stinks as bad as it seems...
There are many jobs of that nature in my area- Just thought it might be fun to go see the country while driving.
