i graduated 10-05 from cr englang school.....2-06 i drove 2 weeks for am-can transport but i was not being trained i was being used as an open log book so i quit (on good terms) at that time i decided the heck with truck driving...but now i kinda miss it and want to find a good co.that will train me well and pay good and have me home on week ends....but being i been out of a truck so long all the companies either want me to go to there school for 3-4 weeks or take a refreshers course @ my cost..im already still paying a 4800$ bill from my first school ...can anyone give me some advice or a company that might help me out?

Shannon, I know nearly nothing about truck'n and hesitate to offer advice, but I have a thought or two, so for what it's worth... Over a year has passed since you graduated school, then were used for just 2 weeks as a log. I think it's a stretch to expect to find a company that wouldn't want you to take a refresher, But maybe someone here can advise you on that. And since you left your former employer on good terms, have you considered going back there and asking to try it again with another trainer? I hope when my turn comes, it'll be be better than your experience. And if it isn't, i hope i have the courage to voice my concerns and make things right. Best of luck to you, and keep us posted. :biggrin_25511:

Like cerb said schneider might be your best bet. Or you can try someone like Pepsi or Coke doing local with the ity bity tractor trailers. If you have your class A, I know in NY they will take you on. But if you want to drive a big truck they are not the ones. But I hear they pay good. Lot's of labor though.
