Hey all mike here, I'm looking for driving job with a small fleet. The reason being I have 3 DWIs on MVR and the big guys won't look at me. The DWIs are 18 19 20 years old. I have been sober for 16 years will be 17 in September.
Currently I do hold permit in MN and DOT physical is done. Need to come up with some training and $ to take the wheel test.
I can offer great loyalty and respect, availability and outside of a lil training and possibly running team till you feel I'm trained enough and get my hard card I ask for 3-4 days home to see my son once a month. Other then that I'm yours.
Thank you
Mike

Maybe this would be the route to go for me too. The big guys frankly seem to hate most people without certian things. I am willing to work hard, but they wont look at me without 3 years verifiable work experiance. Between college, family issues (No longer a issue, they passed away) and such, I cant find a place to take me in. I would be willing to do what I could but I need my CDL and training, so no small company would want me either im betting

This is usually the better route no matter what. You will have much better success in the trucking industry working for smaller companies or owner operators. Sometimes things were meant to be. If you had a good record you might be tempted to go with Swift, England, or Werner. I always recommend to new drivers to go for the smaller mom and pop companies. Pay is usually better and so is the treatment. Good luck.

I was told to go to a company that's not hiring. That would be your best prospects of finding the best job.

Well, I would love to find a mom and pop that would take me under the wing but...apparently life dont work that way no more. I bust my ### for my employer, but that dont go nowhere anymore either apparently.
Credit scores, past, and all that is all people care for.
