Out in the high desert of NM, 19 mph over is the flow of traffic. I set my cruise to 88 mph and I end up blocking traffic.

that said here's something to keep in mind as you make the transition to civilian commercial driving........
that experience doesn't translate very well other than knowing the size and acceleration/braking characteristics of the vehicles. I have trained several former military and they were hands down the worst students I ever had that required the most work. the operating environment is very different and the equipment in many ways is as different as it is the same. it's a completely different animal being in traffic around morons in 4 wheelers and tight dock areas at customers.
just something to keep in mind as you enter this aspect of driving large vehicles in a totally different environment than what you've been used to. keep an open mind and be open to a new way of doing things.
and just realize that 19 over is a death sentence in this industry. feel fortunate to get hired anywhere, and put some distance between you and it and much better opportunities will present themselves. -
BTW just read the tags on this thread and it says; my, newbie, drive, NOT, PAM, stories......... only a little ominous lol
