newbie questions about Roehl

    Hey all! This be my first post. Please be paitent my smart phone is missing some IQ points. I start my cdl school on tuesday. Woo!! Really excited to keep the family trade alive.

    Anyway my Roehl recruiter is Lindsay A. She seems like a really great person to work with. Has anyone been to phoenix for training yet? if everything goes as I hope I will be there for orintation around the first of october.. flatbedding is in my blood. I also wanted to know more about the application process. do they really go call all of your old employers? do they go over your app with a finetooth comb? I just dont want what happened to me at prime happen with Roehl.(long story)

    any info will help! thanks and be safe out there!!

    Hey surfer.

    I am scheduled to begin Roehl's orientation/training process in Phoenix Monday (9/3) morning.

    Yes, Lindsey A was very good to work with. She was helpful and kept me informed at each step of the process. And, yes, they did check my employment history and background pretty thoroughly. Even with my proof of employment at the same company for the past 18 years (W2s, paystubs, employment reports from The Work Number, etc.), they still called to verify my employment, and even called my personal references.

    Hey Surfer. I'm 2/3 done with my CDL school (I have the pre-trip inspection test tomorrow morning, then I only need my road test next week). I just received a call from Lindsay a few minutes ago telling me that my physical came through fine. She gave me the choice of orientation/Phase1 at either Gary, IN on Sep. 10 or Phoenix, AZ on Sep 17. I'd prefer Phoenix, but I want to start as soon as possible. So I scheduled Gary. And if I'm lucky, my sister and mom may come visit me since they're only 25 min away. :thumbright:

    well thanks everyone. good luck with Roehl and orentation. I really want to get out there with you guys but it looks like prime all over again.

    I had an employer who went under while working there a few years ago. he never turned in my income tax or ss or medicade or state taxes. he gave me a w2 and thwn I found out he kept thw money. the lady at school told me to put it on my app to roehl anyway. and thats what fkd me over at prime. apparently I can fake a w2 well? I really this doesnt mess up my shot at roehl. :( any advice?
