If your tractor parking brake wont work during testing, write it up and request it be repaired.
KH -
it shoudlnt KEEP you from moveing, but it will make it hard to move...try it bobtail if your draging one of your axles its working just fine lol

The brakes on the tractor should be released all the way for the tug test shouldn't they?
-
he's talking about doing a tug test on the tractor breaks. Since they only lock one of your two drive axles and its the one thats not powered with the axles unlocked you can pull on them to see if there working.
American Trucker123456 Thanks this. -
ah 10-4....my bad!

You need to adjust your slack adjusters! No more than an 1" play in them.
-
the slack adjusters being out does not effect the spring brakes... and this truck will have auto slacks DO NOT ADJUST THEM MANUALLYchompi Thanks this. -
Are you doing your tug test with the service brake or are you pulling your parking? If you are using the service brake then check your slack adjusters. Thanks Nwmaxi a little mis-communication.
