I used my Qualcomm once.....It wanted to send me on a restricted road. I used a random McNally all the time never used the Qualcomm again. Get yourself a truck attles, good gps, and use Google maps and you will be fine. On the load screen they will give you directions to where your going. Thanks for the info, what is a good model to get? I been reading the the newer models are having problems freezing up and not working right. Thanks

I have a 570 Rand McNally six years old. It freezes up from time to time as well. What ever you get make sure you get free lifetime updates.

They all have their problems, none are perfect , and will at times do things and try to have you take silly routes. So its allways a good idea to have a general idea on where your going. What interstates and wich direction at least. I also write down the local directions if they are a but complicated.
