Newbie trucks - Swift

The Volvos are older trucks, I don't think they have bought any new OTR Volvos for a while. Some company drivers are in Cascadias, Prostars, and Kenworths.

 

I'm in a Prostar Eagle, the kind meant for teams/mentors. It's nice, lots of room in the top bunk I'm not using.

 

I'm in a 2010 Prostar. There were a bunch of new Volvo 670, 780 and Freightliner Cascadias at Greer, SC week before last. It is purely luck of the draw when and where you upgrade to solo.

 

Saw 6 brand new Swift logoed Volvo 670s heading to Phoenix on I10 last Friday. Saw one in El Paso with a 13XXXX truck number.

 

Thanks for the info, I had heard that Jerry was not buying otr volvos, I have seen 2 daycabs.

 

I know I got 2 junk Volvos my first week then the 2nd week I got a 2009 Kenworth T2000 i only seen Frieght liners. Rand new in Ladredo about a month ago the had tons of Nee trucks seats still in plastic didn't see any Volvos, I know the Volvos I had the sleeper was small compared to this T2000 I have now

 

The Freightliners parked at Laredo aren't Swift's. The ones w painted steel wheels are waiting to get stacked and moved out. The drive-away company leases that space. There were no trucks at all at Laredo when I soloed on the 8th.

 

I just solo'd out I'm Fontana a couple of days ago,and mira loma only had three trucks to sign out,I ended up with a 08 Columbia

 

Swift won't be buying any more Internationals from what I've been told. The new internationals use a different pollution control other def.

For the time being only Freightliners, KW, and Volvo's being bought. I inquired about a 2012 International to lease and it not going to happen.
