Hi. I am 2 weeks out from graduating from driving school and would like to hear from anyone concerning KLLM. Does anyone know what recent grads make per mile after their time with the trainer? I have researched them some and would appreciate any sort of feedback. Thanks to anyone willing to help!

i didnt go with KLLM but they were in my top 3. I beleive they start you at .32cpm. I have followed them on here for 2 or 3 years they seem like a pretty good company. I would adivise you to stay away from the lease at least till you get enough experiance to know weather or not you'll enjoy being a slave lol

Thanks very much!!!! I am chompin' at the bit!LOL Haven't gotten excited about much in years......kinda like it. Thanks again for the information. It's a little scary going from building furniture in a factory to driving a truck for a living.

You might want to also look at:

May Trucking if you want Reefers
Watkins Shepard if you want Dry Vans

Not sure on whats good down there for Flatbed but if TMC hires down there you might want to check them out, I dont think maverick hires from down their but if they do their better then TMC.

I did my orientation , 6-1/2 weeks of over the road with a trainer and passed my driving & written tests and successfully upgraded ... Went home for my 1 week time off and was told to call after that week for my truck assignment.Called and they told me they would put me on the list for a truck..WTF ?? Waited 3-1/2 weeks without a truck ...I couldn't wait around without pay any longer & ended up getting a local job. My obsevation is that KLLM is a good company (treated me good & they never told me a lie) except forgot to tell me about the truck shortage which I suspect are going to lease drivers. Just my 2 cents worth from a guy that has been there and done that.

Not the first time Kllm has used this tactic. The company always comes first with Kllm. Always. They may hate the fact you are sitting home not making any money, but that does not mean anything will be done about it.
