Newer truck with emissions,(2019-2024) is it worth it?

The Company I just quit has about 20 Coronado Gliders. 5 are still brand new. Just sitting. Also has about 15 Volvos, and about 25 Cascadia’s. Out of 60 Trucks, about 15 are parked. Just switched from dino to synthetic oil, went from 10k to 15k on oil changes. The Dino was draining out looking like new. It’s overkill, arguably a waste of money. The Trucks all are in top shape though. Even the 700k mile 12.7 don’t have any blow by at idle. I’m tempted to buy a Coronado from him when he decides to start selling them. If one gets down to 7 mpg, he replaces all the injectors. For whatever reason, going forward he’s buying all Cascadia’s w/Detroits, and automatics. The Volvos with automatics get 8-8.5mpg on average. The Coronados with 13 speeds, 7.3-7.7. I think the Volvos are costing too much for parts, the engines are good, but emissions systems require a lot of maintenance. One Volvo has cost $30k, only to find out it needed a ECM upgrade. All the others are getting upgraded before problems arise. I think buying all Cascadia’s will simplify things. Meanwhile he’s rebuilding some of the Coronados already. One got inframed at 500k. There’s always a chance of things like that. He can easily afford it. Cost averaging. Single O/O needs a rebuild at 500k its a disaster.
