OK, I've driven lots of trucks for lots of years. Recently I bought a 2015 780 with the newer 'aero' mirrors. If you haven't paid attention they have big plastic surrounds on the bars instead of just chrome. They look pretty good. Anyway, I get more bugs on my side windows in this truck than anything I've ever driven. Sure the windshield gets bad in the plains states but I'm talking about the SIDE windows. They get as much or more splattered bugs on them than the windshield almost. An early 2000's Volvo I drove for awhile didn't have this problem.
I'm wondering if these mirrors just suck em in or something. Anyone else notice this?
Newer Volvo mirrors and bugs, is it me?

Ya it aerodynamically funnels them onto the door glass. I experienced the same thing.
KB3MMX, Oldironfan and 86scotty Thank this. -
That really bugs me.

make your side window a no bug zone, that should fix the problem
KB3MMX, intrepidor, IluvCATS and 4 others Thank this. -
That will only only stop the good bugs. All the bad bugs won't care about your rules and will violate the no bug zone.
KB3MMX, Aamcotrans, Oldironfan and 1 other person Thank this. -
i think you should be more tolerant of the bugs. do you think you are better than the bugs?
KB3MMX, Aamcotrans and dieselViking Thank this. -
I have nothing against the bad bugs but to believe every bug will follow the rules is nieve. Why ruin a good bug society with unnecessary rules just because of a few bad bugs. Just isn't fair to the bug community as a whole.
KB3MMX, intrepidor and Oldironfan Thank this. -
have you tried asking the bugs to kindly go around the side
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Roll down your side window! Problem solved!
KB3MMX, intrepidor and tucker Thank this.
