They are awesome, until you are in a tight are and it's cold outside. It's either not make the turn, or break off the stiff rubber...

 

Airtabs-uncool & a waste of money. Did you get a free Turdblow 3000 with the Airtabs?

 

I've never used them but I have heard many say they improve stability noticeably.
Most say any improvement in fuel economy is questionable.

Not sure why they would give you any issues with turning or backing as they attach to an existing surface, they don't extend beyond one from what I have seen. Their site says to install them within 14 inches from the trailing edge of the vehicle.

 

Aha, I thought they extended the flaring. If they are simple screwed on the flaring and not extending it, I have no opinion.

 

They stick on with an adhesive.
