My wife cannot see when there is rain on the windshield of our car. I have no trouble with it. She will ask, "Can you see?" We plan our schedule so that she does not drive home at night if rain is in the forecast. My opinion is that some brains focus on the drops of rain on the windshield and the some brains ignore what is close and focus beyond the headlights. I mentioned to an optometrist that I have no trouble driving at night in the rain. He said, "You will", implying that it is an aging issue. So far, so good.

Those reflectors they put on the zipper, should be on every road in America. They help out tremendously when it's raining of foggy.

Next time it's raining, getting dark or the sun is rising or setting and blinding you, look around and see what kind of trucks won't turn their lights on. It might offend you, but I don't care. It's a fact, Jack

I owned my truck and had no problem running the lights. I wanted the chicken lights seen. I wanted the truck seen. In foul weather, I want the truck seen.
I do not believe it is just the OO or Leased owners that do not run the lights.
I have seen Yellow trucks with no lights. All company drivers.
I have seen Roadway trucks, all company drivers.
I have seen UPS with no lights.
I also know many leased trucks cannot be seen to be leased because they have nothing written on them. -

Never tried them in a big truck, but a couple years ago I got a set of amber blue blockers (yes, they're still around) and I absolutely love them, day or night. I think blueblockers are better than polaroid for my eyes, but you may differ.
I also notice that my eyes relax when wearing them, and I don't get headaches.GAPrincess Thanks this. -
i have sensitive eyes, driving in rain at night is GREAT as long as there are NO streetlights headlights ETC.
may explain why i can walk through the woods in near pitch-black conditions with no flashlight.
......am i a dang vampire or something??!!

Its not just owner op or lease guys running without lights, its everyone just random people that are lost in oblivion and dont think they need there lights on. But driving in the rain at night sucks, especially when your on one of them really black roads and you cant barely see it. Thats what I hate the most, other than that driving in the rain isnt all to bad. Unless its torental downpour.
