I loved night driving I ran rail cars though 98% drop and hook if i could always run like that i would. Having day time receivers messes that up
w.h.o Thanks this. -
I do most of my driving at night and I love it. I'm a night person anyway, so I have more problems with getting tired during the day. It's a lot less stressful for me, except for last night when I was dodging deer in the fog on the AA.

like day time hate the big fleet Volvo drivers blinding me with their driving lights at night..

Personally I try to drive swing shift. I usually schedule to pick up of drop off around noon then drive until midnight everyday. Ya it's hard finding a parking spot sometimes but I find that around midnight to 2am is when the early birds start their days.

I too liked starting my day around 3 or 4 A.M. It's definitely easier to find a spot to break and a spot to sleep.

I haven't had to drive as much as I thought at night with my reefer company.. But when I've had to, I love it! No traffic means no delays and less sitting more driving! Also it's alot easier to get parked in the morning then it is at 8pm in some areas

2200,leave Laredo, heading to Davenport,IA. Run the speed limit, blaze through San Antonio, Austin, DFW. 0550, take a siesta. Hammer down. Blow through Okie city after rush hour and make it to the first service plaza on the Kansas turnpike before your 11 is up. You're 8 hours out of Davenport. Next night, blow through KC and Des Moines, siesta in Newton,IA, hammer across 80 to Davenport.
OR....
0800 leave Laredo. Run into biggest cluster cluck this side of 95 from Jacksonville/Miami north of San Antonio. 400 mile backup. Make it up to Denton and call it a night.
