I was supposed to start a job yesterday and turned it down because the only truck that was available had some problems, and one of the problems was no working A/C. I will not take a truck that ain't working right. If more drivers took a stand like I did there would be no issue. Now this company has a load going to Atlanta and no one to take it there. If all the problems including the A/C were fixed I would have done the job. Oh well.

I guess they have a problem... Maybe a dispatcher should take that POS truck and run it. It reached 94 Degs today in NW Ohio...

Naw, just a mandate that would allow a driver to get adequate rest to safely perform their job... oops, that might be going way too far huh?

All we ask is have the truck legal and have the A/C and heater working right. Don't penny pinch on this or you won't find drivers to run your junk.

Take care of the trucks and we won't have a problem.

If you want to save money and we all do them put in an APU. The last company I was with had them and I used it all the time. Be cheap and we run the engine. I won't put up with no crap from any company. I've been at this to long. I don't like to play games.

I agree. Problem is they would put him up in a hotel. But not the driver.

Did you think this was another driver or a pan handler? Where their intentions to rob you? I am planning on buying those screens myself too, 30 bucks a pair, I might nail some nails in a wooden baseball bat.
