Who cares about being fired? Not you, since you'd still be employed.

Think before you speak or write, although I can see it's a new concept to you.

If you are fired for destroying company property and then drive the truck home on your full tank of fuel, they can have you arrested for stealing the truck. But some jails have AC.

    ronin Thanks this.

Right on, can't believe some of the stupid crap that is spewed on here... especially when you're talking to newer folks who might actually believe it's ok since some "experienced" guy on the internet forum said it was ok.

Things could get a lot worse than just being fired and having a bad DAC... being prosecuted or civilly sued for vandalism comes to mind.

    ronin Thanks this.

Fatigued driving would be a good excuse otherwise suck it up get it home and look for a co. that cares, they do exist. Or buy your own truck then lease it with a carrier long enough to figure out the biz then get your authority, you will no longer have to put up with anyones bs but the gov't.

Here is the REASONABLE answer to his problem......

If you have a Century, this is a "for sure cure"....

    Turn off the engine.
Turn off the cruise control at the switch.

    Restart engine.
Idle truck up with "resume/set" switch.

Take your permit book or some other item and wedge between accelerator pedal and lower dash where the pedal is held depressed about 1 to 2 inches.

She will idle til she runs out of fuel without shutting down.

I thought the AC was fine. Just the truck won't idle. Who is this dirt bag company anyways? Why not quit. You have the internet in the truck. Find a job!!!
