I thought this was going to be easy! Drivers need everywhere!
Well not many that pay during training.

I've got applications in at Swift Reefer, Knight and Roehl.

These seem to be offering school closest to me and have work in Las Vegas.

Not listening to how bad one is over the other. I just want to get my CDL, put in my time for repayment and reevaluate then.
I was surprised how many companies required team driving for first 6-12 months. I passed on those.

    Ok now I'm asking.
Of these 3 should swift Reefer be first choice?
I have found many mixed reviews on Roehl!!

Of those 3, I'd go with Swift Reefer.
I don't know if Roehl reefer has much going on out here. Have you asked about that?

They claim they need flatbed here in town. Not sure I want to start out there.

Looks like I'm going with Roehl.
Swift and Knight won't return email or phone calls, even thought driver pulse shows I keep getting assigned a new recruiter every other day.
I've tried to get ahold of the recruiter at Swift Reefer so much I feel like I'm a debt collector.
The bummer with Roehl is needing to go to Indiana for school. Was hoping I had SLC or PHX as options. But it is what it is....

Go to the roehl section under trucking companies. They have a very unfriendly contract if you don't stay until it's satisfied. They hit you with the full cost of the school along with charging you for OTJ training after school. From what's been posted it amounts to 7 to 8 grand and they don't pro rate it either. There's a lot of posters saying this so you may want to take that into consideration.
Best of luck in your decision.

Yep. Just confirmed that. $7k not pro rated. Not great at all.
But they pay during school and otr training with mentor. Have a drop yard near home and let you bring truck home (I'll leave it at the yard for home time).
I can put in the year to get even with them. It still seems my best option for what I need right now.
Appreciate the heads up though @Goldenfan

Put the phone down and turn off
    The computer.
Hop in your car and drive over to the knight terminal,
And walk in the door and ask for a job.

I don't know if they still do it,
But they used to have drivers running to the ports
In California and back 5 days a week.
They were always hiring for it.

    The ports suck big time.
But there a 1000 times better than the dollar store account.
But you'll be home a lot and making some money.
    Ask them about it.
Like I said, I don't know if there still doing it.

Well, if Roehl is in your best financial interest at this time, then go for it.
I was just over by Sam's Club on Serene and saw 2 Swift refrigerated and 1 Knight refrigerated trucks parked by the docks.
Can't figure out why neither has contacted you.
Is Roehl's drop yard in Henderson of Las Vegas?
