Just wait until your dome lights start blinking with your turn signal... lol

It was the SAM module on my 2016 Cascadia. Seems to be common as the dealer knew exactly what it was before they even pulled it into the bay. I think the bill was a couple grand. Didn't look too closely as to how much was labor as I wasn't paying the bills.

My truck never suffered any leaks, not that I noticed anyway, even after a couple windshield replacements

Ok, so I disconnected the battery to kill the lights and give the computer a chance to reset. I reconnected the battery and everything is now functioning normally.

I’ll keep an eye on things and give an update if it starts acting up again. Thanks for all of the feedback.

Whatever the source of these errors, make sure you find and learn how to swap a fuse and read the fuse diagram on the fuse box(es) cover to know which fuse control what devices. If you have a some Cascadias, maybe just the newer one, has the fuse box behind the passenger side glove box. Other common locations for other trucks is down below the steering wheel or where a clutch pedal would be. May lst few trucks also have another fuse box on the firewall, under the hood, near the steering shaft.

I've worked with many new drivers that expect the company or road service to send a mechanic out to them to change a fuse. If you can check or change a fuse you can reduce a few hour delay, or Out of Service, to a 30 minute fuse change.

When a turn signal or Hazard light is flshing rapidly, that USUALLY means one light somewhere in the circuit is burned out.

Almost all Freightliners have leaks somewhere around the windshield or the clearance lights above the windshield. My 2020 Cascadia even has a plastic rain shield above the fuse panel behind the glove box. Freightliner knows their trucks are leaky buckets.

That was what I was going to suggest. The weirdness happened to me a couple times as well.

What all the previous posters fail to realize is that all this stuff is computer controlled.
When your computer starts messing up, the first thing you do is reboot it. Right?

In the truck it means using the battery kill switch, then turning it back on after a few minutes.
    Reboot the system.

If the problem persists after that, then start looking for all the bad relays and connections and other stuff.

It will only be a temporary fix.

Not if is just a computer glitch.

The problem I had did not come back.
Sometimes it really is that simple.

My 2016 Cascadia did the same thing. It’s manual so the jakes are on the wheel and those stopped working as well.

    Sam Cab module.

I bought the part but it needed some dealer programming.
