OK so, you dont need to buy the liability insurance you were talking about. That money can go back into your pocket.

That's considered Chicago to the vast majority on this board...I would use extreme caution dealing with any outfit from Elk Grove or any of the suburbs in that area

I agree with @HalpinUout. Both of us are from the Chicagoland area and highly recommend you be very cautious. Elk Grove is the epicenter of the famous shady Euro White Volvo outfits.

I have not found anything yet that been said in print that's negative about this company in my research.
Could you explain what your concerns are?

If you are leased on to them you have to run under their insurance if you are using there authority I don't think you have an option I think that is a FMCSA requirement. You probably purchase bobtail insurance through them as well. And you will need Occupational Liability Insurance which is similar to workers compensation. And physical liability you can purchase through them or on your own If you brought the truck with you. If you are leasing from them they may require physical liability to be bought from them.

A fair amount of people have not been paid for the work they have done with Chicago companies.

If I understand this right the truck is under their insurance anytime I'm doing business for them. Will this include when I'm off duty taking a 10hr or 34 break?
Physical Liability is for the truck when I'm on personal business right?

You have two questions. your 10 hour and 34 hour are all working for them. Physical liability is all on you to cover the cost of your truck if anything happens to it. Like a crash or fire.
