My company is not installing ELDs in our in state and local only trucks. Only the ones leaving California. I am on the Phoenix Shuttle so I have one.

I have not heard anything about California not enforcing the in state trucks ELD law.

    Have any of you??

    Happy Holidays!!

Calif***ya probably has its own intrastate HOS, and no intrastate ELD mandate. If you never cross state lines and do not haul HazMat, you're outside of the jurisdiction of the FMCSA and therefore the federal ELD mandate does not apply.

One mitpick Bulldog. It's if the shipment doesn't cross state line. The driver is really not relevant in that case.
For example picking up containers at LA's port to deliver in CA iis still Interstate, as the shipment crossed a state (and national) line.
