Is it true that tanker fleets usually pay higher than others?
If so, what added work is there to it besides having the tanker and hazmat endorsement?

Heard Schneider was good but they dont offer in house schooling for cdl.

I'm after a company that pays the most for no exp drivers like me.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Yes tank driver make more generally, not always but it's not about pay. It's about quality of life and a good job in two years that gets you home a lot and not dealing with going to oddball places.

You looking for tankers? If so, these hire new CDL grads:

    CTL Transportation
    Schneider Bulk
    Tidewater Transit
    Coastal Transport
    Superior Carriers
    Groendyke Transport
    SVTN
Trimac Transportation sometimes hires new CDL grads at some terminals. After 24 months can move to their "Elite Fleet" and make over $100K. Get some experience with another tanker outfit, then move to Trimac.
I've talked to many Groendyke drivers and all of them liked the company.
Schneider Bulk will sponsor CDL school or reimburse tuition up to $6000.00
CTL Transportation has their own school and also will sponsor through C-1 Truck Driver Training School.

Honesty though I don't meet to many unhappy tanker drivers and the guys I know do well. I like driving tanker it's good way to go, and it's easier to get into.

You have a point. I have absolutely no time behind the wheel of a semi, yet all I can think about is the financial part.

I like driving for long periods. I don't mind being away from home for weeks or months even.

Maybe when I get behind the wheel, I'll start to reconsider by priorities.

Thanks China! Good to know where to start looking!

I pulled hazmat/tankers 48 states and loved it. Made $65K but many tanker drivers make much more that that.

Like I said you don't meet to many unhappy tanker drivers, money is good, freight is good, pay is good, unload is good, and you don't have to back up.

Hell it a truck drivers dream come true.

yep, and no grocery warehouses to deal with. Closest I came to groceries was a soft drink plant. They just said, "Hook the hose there at that valve and give us a yell when you're empty."
