Well I read through the first ten then didn’t read anymore. When my son was 21 and working a crappy job I said to him I’ll help pay for you to get your Cdl. He said I don’t want to drive truck. I said what do u want to do. He said I don’t know. Why not drive truck doing something until a better job comes along. Now my son has a baby girl and supports his family with a evening supervisor job at a plastics company. I asked him if he likes his job. He said work is work. Life is at home. Wow wonder where he heard that growing up.

US Express is now taking students again. I was just talking to them yesterday. They DQd me due to background, but they were willing to vet me. Don't know if them having a terminal right where I live plays a part.

    Why those companies?

Local with no experience? Maybe check to see if any of the mega carriers are running day cabs out of your local distribution centers (like US Xpress does for walmart). Otherwise, I'd start looking for a class B job or non cdl box truck gig. Some pay well, are local, and you could get some wheel time. Just my 2 cents.
