I am not the one that said you should not be trucking.

As you have said, you are asking for advice. But if you do not give the relevant details any advice would be worthless.
People here want to help you. But if you won't do your part...

We did not ask you for:
    • Your REAL name
    • Your street address
    • Your SSN or drivers license #
    • Bank/Investment acct #s & passwords
    • Details of your romantic/sex life
    • Your political affiliation
We only asked for the info needed to match you with potential CDL opportunities.

    That's it....nothing more. :dontknow:

Look around the new driver section and see for yourself those questions are almost always necessary to get relevant help finding a few companies for the newbie. If there are things like convictions, gaps in employment, or strong demands for certain things you already quite limited in which companies will even tell you no, let alone maybe hire you.

There is no driver shortage. Hiring is very slow now. Drivers graduating CDL schoolast week with spotless records & solid work histories are not getting hired or only after waiting or taking lower quality employers.

Maybe the 2nd time you visit the forum you can look around instead of dictating how it should work. You'll probably get better results that way.

Why don't you do the real work yourself by applying everywhere you can and take whatever you can get instead of expecting strangers online to do YOUR work for you? People here are trying to help you but instead of showing appreciation you toss out disrespect.

Nope, there is nothing wrong with non-identifiable questions. You don’t get employers do read these forums and posts.

The more specific your answers are, the more specific your advice will be. Provide only vague and generalized info and you'll only get vague and generalized responses. The ball's in your court when it comes to how much detail you provide. Based on the information you've given so far, the answer to your question is:

Maybe, assuming Western Express even wants you.

Where is your domicile? We can just start there. Each company has different requirements about misdemeanors. Usually, they gotta be a minimum 3 years old. The older the better. Even with a clean record, depending on where you live, you may not have that many options. If Western will hire you, take it. Get experience by any means necessary. Experience is the only way to gain more options. Tell us where you live and we can try to help you out.

I mean a misdemeanor can be trespassing or reckless driving. One I don't think too many driving companies would care about, the other most would tell you to leave and don't let the door hit you in the ### on the way out. So just saying "a misdemeanor" means nothing. We need to know WHAT it is in order to help you.

But if you aren't willing to answer questions that could help us to help you, then good luck.

Not even knowing the crime he committed you're pissing in the dark. It could be something REALLY bad to a trucking company. Or it could be nothing. Who knows?

It's a misdemeanor. I don't really think a misdemeanor is always that important. Felonies, on the other hand, are a different story. Besides, the company will see his criminal record anyway. The more important question is the elapsed from the conviction.
