To everyone asking about trucking companies here is the truth. There are none if you switch jobs the only thing that will change is the signs on your doors. The DM;s will still lie to you like i said the only thing that will change is the sign on the door.:biggrin_2551::biggrin_2551::biggrin_2551::biggrin_25526:

Really because i would say the company i work for is a good company, and never had my dm lie to me. If you made a bad choice of company(s) thafs no reason to lump every company in with them.

I also disagree. I think that there are companies out there who will give a driver a fair shake. No perfect company, but there are some good ones that tell it to you straight.

Plus one more disagree, I am very happy with my company. The first few months were rough but once I proved myself and got a good reputation with didpatch they have been awesome. If you don't take the time to get that reputation then yes you are just another driver to them and will be treated accordingly.

You can't blame all the problems drivers have on the company. While there are those working for carriers who are not completely truthful, many times it is the driver who has the problem, not the company. I would not lump all carriers into the same group. Most want drivers to succeed. It is very costly to recruit new drivers. It costs less to retain drivers than to hire new people. Frankly, I would like to see carriers be more selective when hiring drivers. Many should not even be in the business. This is a challenging business. It isn't for everyone. Some are simply not cut out to be otr drivers. There is more to being successful in this business than holding a steering wheel and shifting gears.

I love the company that I drive for. And haven't talked to any other drivers from my company who are not happy.

I would agree when referring to starter companies. But after a year, you should be smart enough to know what companies would be a good fit for you, and which ones to stay away from.
