Not sure if this is in the right forum section... So, Long story short. I was driving a 21 cascadia with an inverter in it for this company. Last week I was moved into a 25 cascadia which was nice but no inverter. I ask for them to put in an inverter and they are telling me they wont put one in it cause it voids warranty?????? Is this a thing? My thoughts are...WHOOOO would drive a truck as a team, OTR or whatever without an inverter? What about people that have sleep apnea? Do I continue to bother them about it? Ask for an older truck? Leave the company? Super confused. Thanks!
No warranty issues. Either management sucks or the shop is lazy. I drive OTR without an inverter FWIW. Can't think of any reason I need one
id'e keep buggin em and if they keep saying no then it might be time to move on. as big said mgnt sucks shop is lazy or there trying to save a few bucks on the truck. it don't void the warranty. to a degree it would tell me how much they cared about there drivers.
I recently switched back to a truck that I was previously driving that has a bad inverter or at least it does not work in the capacity that I needed to work to run a medical device. I've told my shop and my manager about it multiple times and the shop keeps telling my manager that everything is good when it's not. So follow up what I said above this is my big frustration with my company, there are problems and they are very obvious to me but the people who can and should address those issues keep gaslighting (or trying to gaslight) myself and management so that they don't have to do anything. The oilfield company I worked for in North Dakota was the same way only worse, if they are required to do anything they just tried to do the absolute bare minimum hoping that everyone will be happy with it. I really must get on them and stay on them to get them to do anything meaningful.
