I have talked to guys in the shop who said if they find it they leave a note that they found it and where you can pick it up. The only way they are going to find it is if you don't disconnect it if they need to get under your bunk or change out your batteries. Or if you install it improperly and burn your truck down lol

Well, if we see a hole in the floor which wasn't there when the truck rolled off the factory floor, we can put two and two together. Had one come in with an 1800w inverter that was "wired up" with a large set of alligator clamps on the battery terminals... he never disconnected them. Saw another who had an amp running off of a battery that he kept in the compartment for the fridge, but then ran 8 gauge wire from that battery to the battery bank to keep it charged. The one who thought he was slick stuck his inverter where the CB radio was supposed to go, then stuffed a shirt in it to hide it when it had to come in for a service. He ran the wires (again, too narrow of a gauge) under the trim, but didn't properly reinstall the trim, which is the first thing that made me suspicious.
Such a policy isn't in any way unique to Swift. They don't want people who don't know what the #### they're doing setting their trucks alight.
