i cannot find a mega that will hire from Florida. I’m not even in the southern part I’m in Pensacola. Swift told me they’d hire me a month ago and I’m trying to get my permit and I just called them back and they aren’t taking from here anymore. I want to go through company sponsored cdl training because the schools around here are like 8 grand. May trucking said they have reimbursement of 250$ a month and they actually hire people who didn’t attend school so I’m considering that...

But does anyone know megas that will hire out of Florida?

Are there any that let you get the permit at school as well?

    Try KLLM Transport:
Click -> Home | KLLM Driving Academy
School in Mississippi at Hinds Community College; meals and lodging provided.
They run a lot of I-10 heading west.

How bad are they though? I looked into Pam and Stevens and Pam was 28cpm. I heard Stevens is that bad too

Why not give them a call and see what they are talking about? At this point it's all about getting your foot in the door.

From what I know; Stevens Transport is much better than Pam. It's a place to get started, then you can move on.

That's right, do what you have to do to get started.

I will offer a different suggestion. Beg borrow or steel to pay for school. It gives you freedom and will open doors.

My next suggestion would be to to call Magnum LTD. For a starter company they are pretty ok. .40 per mile for new drivers after after four weeks of training and up to 9 cents per mile in bonuses that are very obtainable and paid monthly. I believe they also offer tuition reimbursement.

Even if you have to go to a different area and stay in a hotel room while you go to school you will be money ahead vs .28 cpm
