No More Map Updates for PC*Miler - Beware if you're thinking of buying a PC Miler

What map version shows in the "About CoPilot" screen on your unit? What are the numbers after "Data.ALK.NA...?"

 

salt lake city utah has a new freeway that opened 2 years ago.

they've got another new freeway that is slowly opening up.

and yeah. that new toll road in texas.

i'll take my newly found technology over maps any day. cuz i don't like stopping every so often to read my notes or check out the atlas. nor do i like taking that extra half hour to make my notes. PLUS, the atlas can only get you into town. where do you go from there??? spend a half hour trying to call the receiver or shipper for directions in ENGLISH.

my gps saves me a ton of time vs. reading the atlas. and it speaks to me. IN ENGLISH.,

i went through the motions that dieselboss explained in the other thread. i couldn't get any updates either.

i installed a new rom on my android phone. redownloaded the maps last night. got version 9.3 alk-na 4-2012
don't have my handheld as this moment but it was alk-na 3-2010 not sure on the version. so i'm guessing it's almost 3 years on the maps.
