No Show to Central/Swift Bus & Orientation?

    Anyone knows what happens if recruiter sets up bus ticket to leave Sunday morning(tmrw) for a scheduled Swift/Central orientation on Monday but family issue arises at last minute and cant make the bus or orientation? I spoke with her over phone on Fri. about some paperwork I was concerned about but all was ok...so she was expecting me to be boarding bus.
    Sent an email to the recruiter to notify but its Sat and she`s not in office, also called Swift orientation coordinator and left message with them.....

    could or would bus and orientation be re-scheduled?
    I`ve had my CDL for almost a year without securing any stable work or training in trucking & Central/Swift is only large co. willing to accept & train me without a refresher course(actually have been in contact with recruiter & pre-hired since last summer but just recently got serious about signing on) ...trying not to ruin my chances of getting on.
    any feedback is appreciated...Thanks

    Check with your recruiter on Monday. My bet is they will simply reschedule you. I don't believe the Greyhound ticket will be charged to Swift unless it is used, but I could be wrong about that.

    Shouldn't be a problem,,,from my understanding the hound tickets are set up as refundable for this reason your not the first and won't be the last to not leave for orientation when supposed to and you tried getting in contact with them one thing I might do is call and talk with who ever is their theirs always somebody manning the phone might take a minute to get through but that will cover you just a little more then call Monday first thing don't wait for them to call asking what happen

    I know at my orientation several people didn't show up, and several people were there after not making their first appointed orientation. No sweat IMHO.

    Get ahold of Swift first thing Monday morning.You leaveing them a message is probably fine but just in case I would still call them.Otherwise you may not qualify for Swift for like 60 or 90 days.Call them before orientation starts.
