You were all right!!! I really appreciate the advice. I was surprised because I still had probably 75+ gallons of fuel but the slight un-level ground must have caused me to suck some air into the fuel lines.
I put in 70 more gallons in the up hill tank, topped off my fuel filter, and sprayed a little starting fluid and she fired right up.
Thankful to have an N14. Pretty simple motorblairandgretchen, boneebone, ShooterK2 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I had a similar situation one time with my '99 W9 with an N14. I waited on the side of a lease road for about 4 hours. Truck was running for AC. Leaning to the drivers side. I had over a quarter tank when I stopped there. When it was my turn, I took off, climbed the steep hill into location, and just as I crossed the cattleguard on top, she died. Fuel had all went into the drivers side tank while I was sitting there. Gauge was now showing over half a tank (it reads the drivers side tank).
I rolled back down the hill and back into my parking spot (fun stuff when the truck ain't running), put some fuel in the passenger tank, and went on in and unloaded.
It never crossed my mind until it happened.OldRed98 Thanks this. -
Yeah I thought I would be fine with a quarter tank but now I know.... Be careful how you park when lower on fuel.
Is that your truck in your profile pic Shooterk2? Looks good.
I think it was you who helped me decide to get my W9.... So glad because I love this truck.ShooterK2 Thanks this. -
