Just to close out the story, I got to Manteno and got the key to my "new" truck. Had some communication issues (my freeform messages aren't getting to Jonestown) but I'm now loading to go to Paw Paw MI and my DM has routed me to New Boston from there so I can get all my junk into my truck. Then I can get on with my life ;)

Why people put up with not having an income for x amount of days when Swift has trucks sitting is something I will never get. 1nonly has more patience than I do in this case.

I was concerned about that, especially my bike, but it was just as I left it. This truck is old, but in decent shape. I'm dealing with a bad smell, but it's fading with time and lots of Febreeze. All in all, could have been worse.

Injun and Big Don Thank this.

Why would any driver put up with the hassle of having to move all of their things out of the truck for hometime when there are many BETTER companies out there? I just don't get it!

Sounds like Ol' Swifty has figured out another way of pushing drivers into a fleece deal to me!

They drove my mentor nuts about his idle. Evidently he didn't want to pull the fuse.

If the mechanics were told to check the idle % on the trucks the company would poop themselves.

They must know that is is going on.

Some drivers have no choice...at least for about 6 months to a year. ;)

I was told that EVERY time he has home time he has to clean the truck out.
