It rains everyday here in the summer I hardly ever slow down under 70 mph it has to pretty much be a tropical storm for me to slow down as long as I can see I'm good just turn your cruise control off and roll on
Cattleman84, flood and buddyd157 Thank this. -
Every rain storm is different so the safe speed is different for each one. But there is one constant, never drive faster than current visibility will allow you to stop in time if needed.
booley, rabbiporkchop, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this. -
Well, it's good to know 50 is the magic number.
booley, bzinger, Cattleman84 and 3 others Thank this. -
We then would pull the truck onto a mobile dyno and measure braking force. Any chinese tires were an instant OOS on wet roads. If they were using an engine brake at the time of the stop, the truck was impounded and sold. Proceeds went to the retired trooper pension.JoeyJunk, PoleCrusher, Feedman and 18 others Thank this. -
Bean Jr., QuietStorm, flood and 1 other person Thank this.

I-275 around Tampa. This would be a great idea, soooooo many crappy trucks hauling containers hit #### every time it rains.

After all, 50 on a flat straight Interstate with no other traffic when it’s raining is fast enough.PoleCrusher, booley, KillingTime and 10 others Thank this.
