Anyone ever have noise in geartrain area sounds like aircompressor but changed aircompressor same noise. You can hear the noise when aircompressor is unloaded but louder when compressor is loaded. sounds almost like a rod knock but ive pulled the pan down checked ristpins the best i could replaced both rods and mains. I also ran the overhead. It is a cat c-15 bxs engine.Also checked for broken rocker arm and vva housing bolts and studs.
