Have a 2015 389 Pterbilt.600 Cummins with 18spd autoshift. 520000 miles. When decelerating, a bang noise can be heard. You can run around yard, doesn’t matter what gear or speed or rpm. when you let off the throttle you can hear a bang.Sounds like in clutch. Checked all mounts. Everything looks tight.

I never head a clutch do that. Check rear suspension bushings. Check for metal in rears. Does it do it with the power divider locked? Does it do it in 15 through 18th gear?

Thanks , all that looks good. The noise sounds like it’s under firewall.

If that truck has a driveshaft support bearing, check it for play in the bearing and the rubber surrounding the bearing.
