Non CDL box truck

    Retired from a small trucking/warehousing company that had, in addition to class 8 units and spotter trucks, several CDL and Non-cdl box trucks.

    Three or four were owner operators leased to our DOT number doing NJ/NYC/long Island/West Chester with all the tolls and hassles that entails

    Hassle and hustle and a TWIC to get into JFK and home every night.

    The best was a load of new window air conditioners for a secure NYPD building.

    Driver [owner] and helper [Bro In Law] unload into the parking lot then the explosives dogs sniff them all before the PD helped buggy them inside.

    That's not OTR and is very hard on the truck and that electric pallet jack is your friend.

    Buy a smaller motor home and use it as a box truck. No one will know you're hauling freight.
    Beef up the suspension and put a layer of tough plywood over the existing floor.
    Keep the toilet in place.
