From what I understand ca is a bit of a nazi state.
Am I right? It california good or bad for truckers?

I want to drive tankers and make that good money. Oil field, gas or what ever I need to haul in a tank I will.

Smart move on you and your GF part.

Pick a state with no personal income taxes so you can keep more of your paycheck.
    I recommend Texas or Nevada.
Texas is excellent for tankers and there are jobs there for new CDL grads. Houston, Corpus Christi, South Texas.

    CTL
    SVTN
    Schneider tanker division
    Superior-Carriers

    Most websites show terminal locations.

Texas or Nevada.... but if you move to Texas or Nevada don't vote the California way.. People out there are to stupid to realize they are the reason the state is in the shape it is in... So welcome to Texas... Just vote like a Texan there is a reason our state doesn't have the problems the more left of Stalin states do.. Good luck

Texas....great choice! let freedom ring and don't tread on me. I was born and raised in Michigan. Although the state still is beautiful, the way it operates via government has gone to crap. Hi taxes with low return. Big social programs that don't work. Failing business and bankrupt cities.

LOL, so much for the american dream here.

I hope to be a Texas resident soon. Roehl has terminal in Grand Prairie. It's small but nice.

Welcome. However if you start missing the Mexican side of California, you can move here to El Paso and if you miss the blueness of California, you can move to Austin.

I'd stay where you're at and get a regional CA/AZ/NV driving job so you never have to deal with snow. Or you can just run up and down I-5. Work smart driver. I don't know your financial situation but if you don't have two nickels to rub together moving to another state is virtually impossible. I know as I have been trying to move to Southern California for over a year now.

You know those credit cards you get in the mail; sign here for $20K on the credit card! Use that to make your move and first couple months rent, then throw the card away. The high interest rates on credit cards are mainly for writing off debt for people that do that & the credit card companies still make a huge profit. There is nothing the credit card companies can do, except sell your debt to a collection agency & the collection agency can only make empty threats; can't garnish your pay or anything. The collection agencies buy the debt for pennies on the dollar in hopes of intimidating you into paying a debt that's already been written off by the credit card company. As long as you don't give the collection agency even one penny, you are debt free after 7 years. If you pay them even one penny, the 7 years starts over again from the date you gave them money. Hey, it's just an idea!
