Smart move on you and your GF part.
Pick a state with no personal income taxes so you can keep more of your paycheck.
I recommend Texas or Nevada.
Texas is excellent for tankers and there are jobs there for new CDL grads. Houston, Corpus Christi, South Texas.
CTL
SVTN
Schneider tanker division
Superior-Carriers
Most websites show terminal locations.Moz_ Thanks this. -
Texas or Nevada.... but if you move to Texas or Nevada don't vote the California way.. People out there are to stupid to realize they are the reason the state is in the shape it is in... So welcome to Texas... Just vote like a Texan there is a reason our state doesn't have the problems the more left of Stalin states do.. Good luck

I has born and rased in ca and I know that's is our leaders screwing us up.
I'm a very right voter and not an entitlement brat like most I'm my age group.
Texas here I come!
Has anyone gone through the Texas Scheider tank traning? -
Texas....great choice! let freedom ring and don't tread on me. I was born and raised in Michigan. Although the state still is beautiful, the way it operates via government has gone to crap. Hi taxes with low return. Big social programs that don't work. Failing business and bankrupt cities.
LOL, so much for the american dream here.
I hope to be a Texas resident soon. Roehl has terminal in Grand Prairie. It's small but nice. -
I too am Texas bound.

Welcome. However if you start missing the Mexican side of California, you can move here to El Paso and if you miss the blueness of California, you can move to Austin.Chinatown and WorldofTransportation Thank this. -
I'd stay where you're at and get a regional CA/AZ/NV driving job so you never have to deal with snow. Or you can just run up and down I-5. Work smart driver. I don't know your financial situation but if you don't have two nickels to rub together moving to another state is virtually impossible. I know as I have been trying to move to Southern California for over a year now.
