Don't like what us old timers have to say put in ear plugs. Just like today's cars, they don't build them to last.

Age alone doesn't make some one a old timer out here. Yes I'm really 42 may not look like may not act like it buy I'm really 42 by my birth certificate.

Exactly. Stop listening to those guys at lunch counters. You can get mpg out of a hood of you know how. And the throw away trucks are shakers due to build quality. Then it's international. Today, the build quality fell in trucks. And if you need to look at mpg to make money, somethings wrong.

People seem to forget, engines not long ago needed in frames at 4-500k miles. Today's engines can go well over a million miles with proper care.
I don't really like all the plastic body parts, but they are lighter, more resilient, and don't wrought out like metal. And as far a s the 5700 being another throw away truck, you haven't even seen one, how on earth can you say that, unless of course you heard it at the lunch counter.

I've driven freightliner that were manufactured/assembled in Mexico. Total pieces of crap. My current one that I leased was manufactured in North Carolina. A huge noticeable difference in quality. I would never touch that Mexican crap in 1000 years.
