I'm sure it's lower than Schneider from everything I've seen.
Going through lonemountain pretty much is a commitment to buy the truck though and it's $12-15k down up front

If you could get in a new truck every year that seems nice

Do you remember what happened to you with your used lease truck? :biggrin_25513:
I was very close to doing a new shaker on a one year year because it's a good deal not to be locked in long and can get another new truck after a year which Schneider didn't offer for the KW.
The deal breaker was that extra $1,800 up front for an APU. The KW already has one in it.
Used trucks can be scary... and huge repair bills could be waiting. You ever know

    I just ran the numbers...

SFI - 2016 FL Cascadia Evo, fleet spec, AMT transmission, Diesel APU...$184,800

Lone Mountain - 2016 FL Cascadia Evo, Lone Mountain spec includes 505 HP, refrigerator, gauge package, carpet in the sleeper, and premium seats with heat/AC, AMT transmission, NO APU...$172,500

    Interesting.....

I would go for a 2016. I believe each year they are getting better at designing emission systems. And that (I believe) is one of the biggest risks in any emissions truck.

    Home_on_wheels Thanks this.

What I find strange is lonemountain offers a KW for the same price as FL.
A Lonestar costs less than both. I thought those were more expensive trucks?

Add the cost of an APU and you are about the same, except the LM upgrade package is nicer.
What I'd want is the insulation package.

The lonestar is a Prostar with a hood and some chrome and a couple of lights. Lots of people are getting away from Navistar because the quality and the resale value just aren't there.

I agree it's just a fancy Prostar, the interior even looks like same as a prostar.

Yup. They all did that. Remember the old Freightliner Classic XL? It was an FLD 120 with stacks and a hood. The W900 was a T600 with a hood. The only difference is those trucks were made a hell of a lot better than the Navistars. I don't know what happened when they stopped making the 9400 and the 9900, but it totally went to crap. International might not have been pretty, but those were sturdy well built trucks. Not anymore.
