One of the reasons there are less loads could be the time of year. Most businesses slow down in the summer months (July / August). Kids are out of school, people travel on vacations and take 3 day weekends.

I used to own a printing business, and my sales would be half in the summer than the rest of the year.
The freight rates will naturally soften if the amount of freight is less.

 

I started in late December and I also can say running Northeast isn't that great now.
During winter it actually was great for me and I saw down south was really really terrible.
Now the southern states are a lot better and the Northeast is ehhh.

I think it has to do a lot with the season, during winter I use to see the Northeast was "oversold" and that doesn't happen anymore and it was the Northeast that got hammered by bad weather this winter.

 

Im noticing a drop in rates.....everywhere.

 

It's the whole market now is stinking up.

This time of the year has always sucked. August and September aren't going to be any better

 

The staging of loads will begin but they won't be available for us for awhile.
